I've been looking for a summer con (May-August) and I found Kimeracon (May 11-13) and Sabotencon (Sept 1-3). Anyone ever been to either of them? Anyone know anything about them?

Hey there! I've Heard of Kimera-Con, never been though. It's not a popular con here in AZ, since most of my con peeps that I've known for 10+ years don't attend it as well. I believe it's mostly comics, not Anime.
Saboten-Con I've been attending since it first got started! <3 It's always my favorite con of the year, since it usually falls around my birthday (Sept 26) ^^ Sabo, for short, is the biggest Anime Convention in Arizona, and is growing more and more each year. For 2012, we're moving from a resort in Scottsdale to The Renaissance Hotel, which has a convention center attached to it that's oh so lovingly called The Orange Mile.... It's Literally a hallway a mile long, it's Super Huge! ^^; Saboten has the best Masquerade also, we get more of a turn out for Sabo then for Phoenix Cactus Comicon (PCC) We also have a huge array of panels, and the guests are always awesome! I Very highly recommend attending Saboten-Con, and you'll be seeing me there every single year. Haven't missed it once ^.^

Ohhhh, alright! Thanks! How many people do you think Sabo averages at? Also, how many guest do you typically have, how much does pre-reg usually cost, and what kind of panels? Also, do you have an amv contest?

Oh, Sabo's been growing by about 150 people each year, so I'm guessing.... atleast 1500 if not 2000 this coming up 2012 year. We usually have about 4-5 guests, and pre-reg is about $35, at the door is $50 I believe. We have panels of any kind, from Naruto focused to My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic. There's usually alot of guest panels, lots of guest signings also. My personal favorites are the ones held by our Master Cosplayers, who are oh so kind enough to do 'How To Do' panels for anything from props, boot covers to skits and how to put together your own cosplay group ^^ And yes, we do have an AMV contest. One of the biggest events, besides our Formal Ball and the Masquerade~

I just found out today that Kimeracon has been cancelled. So now I'm going to look more heavily into going to Anime Oasis, which is at the end of May. Has anyone been to that one?
